Selim Argun
Dr. Selim Argun serves as Vice-President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Ankara and is a Professor in the Department of Islamic History and Arts at Ankara Social Sciences University. He previously served at Istanbul University and is a specialist in Islamic religious endowments (waqf), Ottoman Africa, and elite conflict theories. He holds degrees from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, the University of Johannesburg (MA), and McGill University (PhD), and is fluent in English, Arabic, French, and Circassian.
