Ravza Akatay
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Bookbinding and Conservation at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, Ravza Akatay specializes in historical book arts and manuscript preservation. Since relocating to Chicago in 2015, she has focused her research on pre-19th-century Eastern bookbinding traditions, including techniques, materials, and conservation methods. Her work is dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Islamic and Eastern book arts.
