Arshia Ali-Khan

Arshia Ali-Khan, M.A. is the Chief Executive Officer of the Muslim Legal Fund of America (MLFA), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the civil liberties and constitutional rights of American Muslims through strategic litigation, legal advocacy, and public education. An accomplished nonprofit executive, organizational strategist, and transformational leader, she brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit development, philanthropy, executive leadership, and organizational capacity building. 

Since assuming leadership of MLFA, Arshia has guided the organization through a period of significant growth, strengthening its operational infrastructure, expanding its national impact, and advancing innovative initiatives that support legal advocacy, nonprofit governance, and leadership development. She has also championed collaborative efforts to strengthen the American Muslim legal ecosystem and foster greater coordination among legal and civic organizations. 

Arshia holds a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, where she was a distinguished graduate of the Muslim Philanthropy and Humanitarian Studies Fellowship, as well as a master's degree in Transformational Leadership, Learning, and Coaching. She is a certified executive coach, speaker, and trainer, recognized for her expertise in nonprofit leadership, strategic development, philanthropy, and organizational transformation. 

A founding board member of the Muslim Civic Coalition and former Chairwoman of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations, Arshia is committed to advancing equity, justice, and sustainable leadership within the nonprofit sector. Through her work, she continues to inspire organizations and leaders to build resilient institutions that create lasting social impact.
