
Ahmet Tekelioğlu

Dr. Ahmet Tekelioğlu has been actively engaged in academic and civic work in the United States since 2007. He earned his PhD from Boston University, where his research focused on identity and transnational belonging among American Muslims, based on extensive fieldwork in Boston, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Los Angeles.
He currently serves as a Research Fellow and Editor-in-Chief of The Maydan, a digital scholarship platform on Islamic Studies at the AbuSulayman Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Tekelioğlu is the Executive Director of CAIR-Philadelphia, a leading civil rights and advocacy organization, where he has been serving since 2017. His work bridges the fields of scholarship, community engagement, and policy advocacy.
